Chennai: State president of Tamil Nadu BJP’s Overseas and Neighboring State Tamil Development Wing Gayathri Raghuram has been suspended from the party for a period of six months by the party’s state president Annamalai.

In a statement issued by him in this regard, “The State President of the Foreign and Neighboring State Tamil Development Unit of the Tamil Bharatiya Janata Party, Gayatri Raghuram, has been removed from all his responsibilities in the party for a period of six months as he has violated the party’s control and is continuously involved in activities that bring disrepute to the party.

Therefore, party administrators and volunteers are advised not to have any contact with Gayatri Raghuram on behalf of the party,” it said.

Earlier, ‘if anyone other than official spokespersons of the party wants to give interviews to YouTube channels, it should be brought to the notice of the head of the party’s media wing. In the future, interviews should be given to YouTube channels with the approval of the party. It is noteworthy that BJP state president Annamalai had ordered that appropriate action will be taken against those who violate party rules.
