73 Palestinians were killed in the continuous Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip since dawn.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said, at dawn today, that “a Palestinian was killed and 9 others were injured, including 4 in serious condition, as a result of the occupation’s aggression against Nablus.”

Earlier, “The Ministry of Health said that 77 people were killed in the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, bringing the Palestinian death toll to 45,658, and 108,583 people were injured since October 7, 2023.”

She added: “There are still a number of victims under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them.”

In this context, the representative of the World Health Organization in the occupied Palestinian territories, Dr. Rick Pepperkorn, said that “about 7 percent of the population of the Gaza Strip have been killed or injured since October 2023.”

He added, “More than 25% of the estimated 105,000 injured suffer from life-changing wounds that will require intensive rehabilitation efforts and lifelong medical-technological assistance.”

The UN official said, “More than 12,000 people need to be transferred out of Gaza to receive treatment.”

He pointed out that “the continuation of the current slow pace means that their evacuation – including thousands of children – will take from 5 to 10 years.”

Egypt’s representative: Israel once again reveals an ugly new face

Egypt’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Osama Abdel Khaleq, denounced “Israel’s crimes in the Gaza Strip, stressing that it is carrying out a forced displacement of Palestinians by targeting hospitals and killing civilians.”

Abdel Khaleq said during his speech before the Security Council on the situation in the Middle East and developments in the Palestinian issue, yesterday evening, Friday: “Israel once again reveals an ugly new face of its crimes, after it targeted and killed more than 45 thousand martyrs, 70% of whom were women and children, and destroyed infrastructure.” The civilian infrastructure of the Gaza Strip, and killed hundreds of United Nations employees.”

He called for obliging Israel, “by all political and legal means, to implement the decisions of the Security Council and the General Assembly and the provisional orders of the International Court of Justice, and to force it to deliver aid to save civilians from famine.”

Abdel Khaleq explained that “Israel must know well that all the crimes it is committing will not push the Palestinians to leave their lands, nor will it push the Arabs, and with them all peace-loving countries, to abandon them and their cause, which is their first and fundamental cause.”

The White House: Reaching a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip is still possible

US Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby announced, “The United States believes that reaching an agreement on a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of prisoners is still possible.”

Kirby said: “We believe that a new agreement is necessary and possible, and we welcome Israel’s decision to send a new delegation to Doha.”

The White House Strategic Communications Coordinator explained, “The outgoing US administration has nothing to announce yet regarding the possibility of American representatives going to participate in the negotiations to the Qatari capital.”

He stressed that “representatives of the administration of current US President Joe Biden intend to participate in the negotiations to reach a ‘final’ agreement.”

“The last round of negotiations took place with the participation of Israeli representatives in Doha at the end of 2024, and on December 24, they returned to Tel Aviv “to conduct internal consultations.”
