Gaza ∙ Israeli forces entered the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis city in southern Gaza, where thousands of Palestinians sought refuge, and began a search. The raid took place just after the time allowed for those in the hospital to evacuate. The search is for Hamas operatives and the Israelis they have taken hostage and are hiding here. Nasser Hospital was under siege by Israeli forces for 72 days.

A soldier was killed in a rocket attack by Hezbollah operatives from Lebanon at the Safed military base in northern Israel. 13 locals were killed in southern Lebanon in a counter-attack by Israel. Lebanon has announced that it will complain to the UN Security Council against this attack on civilians. Israel claimed to have killed a senior Hezbollah commander and aide in the attack. Hezbollah has threatened to retaliate strongly.

Yesterday, 83 more people were killed in the Israeli attack, bringing the number of Palestinians killed in the current conflict to 28,663. 68,395 were injured.
