Meanwhile, UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Tom Fletcher, said that the Gaza Strip is currently “the most dangerous place to provide humanitarian support, as it has become almost impossible to deliver even a small portion of the required aid despite the enormous humanitarian needs.”
Fletcher added in a statement that the Israeli occupation authorities continue to prevent humanitarian workers from meaningfully reaching those in need in the Strip, “as more than 100 requests to access northern Gaza have been rejected.”
For its part, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said: The Israeli authorities demolished 1,787 Palestinian facilities between October 7, 2023 and October 15, 2024, including 800 inhabited homes.
He stated that the demolition operations led to the displacement of 4,498 people, in addition to the damage to about 531,593 others as a result of the demolition of their homes or commercial, industrial and agricultural facilities.
