GDP per capita: South Tyrol on top with 56,900 euros – Economy

BOLZANO. If you measure the change in real GDP between 2024 and 2019 (pre-pandemic year)almost all regions have recovered the lost ground. They say so Cgia data. In the ranking of the Pro-capite GDP in purchasing power parity of the 240 regions present in the European Union, in 2022, the richest region is the Irish Southern with an amount equal to 101,200 euros. Followed by Luxembourg with 90,900 euros and the Irish Eastern and Midland with 87,600 euros. The Autonomous Province of Bolzano is the first Italian territory but it is placed at 13th place with 56,900 euros. The South is at the bottom of the list: Puglia in 200th place with a GDP per capita of 22,900 euros, Campania is in 205th place with 22,200 euros, Sicily in 211th place with 21,000 euros and, finally, Calabria in 215th place with 20,300 euros. Bringing up the rear in the EU is the Bulgarian region of Severozapaden with only 14,100 euros.
