Gehlot urges Centre to control passenger movement

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gellot has called on the Center to impose travel restrictions on India to avoid a fourth wave in the wake of rising Kovid cases in China. China is once again in a coma. The increase in China is worrying as the number of Kovid cases is declining worldwide. Kovid originated in China two years ago, so the central government should be prepared to restrict the movement of people. He also reminded that he has learned from the last three waves not to be ignored.

Meanwhile, a lockdown has been announced in the Chinese city of Shenzhen following the rise in Kovid cases. Restrictions have also been tightened in Shanghai.
The lockdown is set for March 20. Shenzhen is one of the most sought after cities in China. About 1.7 crore people have been barred from leaving their homes. The aim is to prevent Kovid from spreading to nearby Hong Kong.

Authorities also ordered the people to undergo three Kovid inspections. Public transportation is completely blocked. Schools were reportedly closed in several northeastern cities, including Shanghai, and various restrictions were imposed in 18 provinces.
