12.50: The UN human rights body says at least 847 civilians have been killed and 1,399 injured in Ukraine as of March 18.
12.05: Ukrainian President Zhelensky has urged Russia to commit to meaningful bilateral talks. He also called on Russia to end its war on Ukraine. He warned that otherwise Russia would have to suffer the consequences of the war for generations to come.

22.05: Ukraine has urged China to condemn Russia’s barbaric actions. The United States has warned Ukraine that China’s support for Russia could have serious consequences.
20.20: The United Nations says 3.3 million people have so far fled Ukraine as refugees due to the Russian invasion. The council said. It is estimated that about 6.5 million people may have migrated locally.
19.25: Tens of thousands of women and children are trapped in Ukrainian cities surrounded by Russian forces. The UN World Food Program says charities are struggling to get there to help them.
17.45: Several soldiers have reportedly been killed in a bomb attack by Russian forces on army camps in southern Ukraine.
