General closure in Judea and Samaria until the evening of the holiday: The Palestinians’ exit to the Temple Mount will continue as a series

Security tensions during the holidays: Following an assessment of the security situation and in accordance with the guidance of the political echelon, a general closure will be imposed on the Judea and Samaria area and the crossings in the Gaza Strip will be closed, starting tomorrow (Thursday). The opening of the crossings and the removal of the closure will take place on Saturday, April 23, 2022, subject to the assessment of the situation and in accordance with the opening hours in the routine.

Meanwhile, the Coordinator of Government Operations in the Occupied Territories, Maj. Gen. Rassan Aliyan, announced that the procedures for the departure of Palestinians and residents of Judea and Samaria for prayers on the Temple Mount will continue to take place in accordance with the steps approved by the Minister of Defense at the beginning of Ramadan.

During the closure, passage will be possible only in humanitarian, medical and exceptional cases and subject to the approval of the Coordinator of Government Operations in the Occupied Territories. Meanwhile, all the holiday engineering work continues to strengthen the barrier at the seam, and reinforce combat forces and technological means along it.
