According to a new study, 1.35 billion young people between the ages of 12 and 34 worldwide are at risk of permanent hearing damage. The reason is that they expose themselves too often and for too long to too loud music through headphones or earphones and by visiting loud clubs, performances and parties where the music is too loud. The World Health Organization estimates that for more than 430 million people worldwide it is already too late and they have what is called disabling hearing loss.
