Jack Nicholson’s grin in the horror classic “The Shining” has etched itself into film history.
Now, Nicholson is 87 years old and has retired from acting, but his actor son Ray Nicholson (32) shows that he can play in a similar manner.
In the horror film “Smile 2,” which premiered over the weekend, moviegoers with a certain experience will recognize the smile.
The film is about a pop star, played by Naomi Scott (31), who is pursued by a malevolent spirit that takes the form of different people, including her deceased husband (played by young Nicholson).
When Ray Nicholson recently visited the TV show “CBS Mornings,” he was confronted with exactly this smile.
– Mom often says, “Ray, you were such a beautiful boy, but then you started to look like your father,” joked the 32-year-old.

Nicholson has a son with ex-girlfriend, former actress Rebecca Broussard (61). They also have a daughter, Lorraine Nicholson, who is also an actress and director.
Ray Nicholson also confided in the TV interview, according to Fox News, that he and dad Jack rarely talk about work with each other.
– If we did, I would probably sink too much into his world. It’s important for me to find my own path, he explained.

At the premiere of “Smile 2” in Hollywood last week, Ray spoke warmly of his Oscar-winning father—expressing the great love and admiration he has for Nicholson senior.
Still, he stressed that the two are very different.
– I was born in 1992 and he in 1937. The things that matter to me don’t necessarily matter to him. I love him, of course. Dad is my inspiration.
He also shared that the two had dinner together every night during his upbringing.
– That’s how I learned to be a human being. So naturally, we are a bit alike.

Ray Nicholson already has a long list of films to his credit, although he has a long way to go before he can boast of fame as great as his father’s.
Jack Nicholson, on his part, has acted in about 80 films, but has not been seen on screen since “How Do You Know” in 2010.
