Meta AI is a new ‘chatbot’ type assistant based on the large language model Llama 2, which accesses information in real time, and with which you can interact with natural language through the different services and devices of the company: WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram, but also virtual reality viewers and smart glasses.

This assistant has also been integrated into a new tool called EMU (Expressive Media Universe) that not only generates images, but also allows you to create stickers from messaging applications that can then be shared in conversations. And it can be used both in chats with a contact and in group chats.

The idea behind this tool is to offer fun in user communications, as noted by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg during the presentation at Meta Connect 2023.

With the idea of fun, they have also presented artificial intelligence agents with their own personality, opinion and interests. These ‘chatbots’ (there will be 28, first in the United States) are shown with a name and a profession or hobby, accompanied by a photograph and a description to know the type of interaction that can be expected with them.

Meta has also announced AI Studio, a platform for creating this type of ‘chatbots’, with the aim that developers can integrate them into messaging apps. The API will be available in the coming weeks.
