Geoje City is recruiting participants for the healthy donation “Link RUN (walking).” Geoje City announced that it will hold the 2024 Geoje Youth Festival “Water Run” event at Neungpo Waterside Park on Saturday, September 7 to commemorate Youth Day.

Among the event programs, the “Link RUN (walking)” program is a participatory program that is being carried out with Geoje youth and citizens to donate to Geoje youth preparing for independence. It is currently recruiting participants (approximately 300 people on a first-come, first-served basis).

The application period is until Friday, September 6, 2024, and the participation fee is 5,000 won per person. The application fee will be delivered in full to the Geoje Independent Youth through the Geoje City Hope Welfare Foundation.

The Link RUN course (14:30 ~ 16:30) starts from Neungpo Waterside Park and goes through Neungpo Elementary School – Mijin Apartment – Rose Park – Yangjiam Sculpture Park (return point) – the road next to Neungpo Elementary School – and returns to Neungpo Waterside Park. It is a round trip route of 4 km and takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

After the Link RUN event, the Neungpo Waterside Park event venue will host the Water Shot (16:30 ~ 18:00) event, which will be held as a youth festival finale performance and waterbomb-style recreation to commemorate the last summer of 2024.

If you have any questions about the festival and LinkRUN pre-registration, please contact the Geoje Youth Festival Management Office or the Job Creation and Youth Support Team. LinkRUN applications can be submitted using the promotional material QR code.

Kyung-soo Han, the head of the Job Creation Division who hosted this event, said, “I hope that many people will participate and take interest in the beneficial and meaningful LinkRUN program that takes care of citizens’ health and also practices good deeds.”
