In a unanimous decision, the nine justices of the Supreme Court of Georgia denied the motion of Donald Trump’s lawyers to end the Fulton County prosecutor’s investigation into their client and quash the final report of a special grand jury that recommended the indictment of individuals involved in an effort to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

The Supreme Court of Georgia is made up of eight justices appointed by a Republican governor and one judge elected through a nonpartisan election. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has previously said indictments against Donald Trump or his allies could be announced in the first half of August.
