According to an exit poll conducted by the Georgian TV company Imedi, the ruling Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia party leads the local elections in Georgia with 47.6 percent of the vote.

In second place is the opposition United National Movement (UNM) party, founded by former President Mikhail Saakashvili, with 27.1 percent of the vote. The third place is occupied by the party of the former Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia “For Georgia”, it has 6.8 percent.

At the same time, according to the exit poll of “Mtavari Arkhi” TV company, “Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia” has 38.6 percent, UNM has 33 percent, and “For Georgia” gets 7.6 percent.

Voting ended at 20:00 local time (19:00 Moscow time).
