GERB-SDS would get 27.4% if the National Assembly elections were held in early April. This is according to a Gallup International survey conducted for BNT.
A total of 37.4% of Bulgarians would vote in the National Assembly elections if they were held in early April, and 34.2% would vote for the European Parliament.
Of all voters, 3.5 percent said they would vote “I support no one,” the data showed. From the vote of those who voted, GERB-SDS would receive 27.4%, “We continue the change-Democratic Bulgaria” (PP-DB) – 17.9 percent, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) – 15.2%, “Revival ” – 14.9%, the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) – 10.5%, “There is such a people” (ITN) – 5.2%. The remaining votes remain for various other smaller formations.
In the elections for the European Parliament, 34.2% would vote, and 3.1% declare a vote with “I do not support anyone”. The probable shares of votes cast for parties, coalitions and candidates look similar to those for parliament, the agency also explained. In this vote, GERB-SDS would take 27.9%, PP-DB – 17.7%, DPS – 14.8%, “Vazrazhdane” – 14.6%, BSP – 9.8%, ITN – 5.4 %.
The research was conducted for BNT between March 28 and April 5, 2024, among 805 people using the “face-to-face” method with tablets. The sample is representative of the adult population of the country. The maximum standard deviation is ±3.5% for the 50 percent shares. 1 % of the entire sample is equal to about 54 thousand people.The survey cannot reflect the latest developments and is a snapshot towards the end of the mandate of the previous government, explained the sociological agency.
“Gallup International” also added that the degree of uncertainty is high, since registration is yet to come, therefore the data cannot be read as a forecast of the election result, writes BTA.
