jpnn.comJAKARTA – It is recommended that the Gerindra Party encourage and give Banyuwangi regional election tickets to its own cadre, namely Sumail Abdullah.
Sumail is considered to have sided with many small people while he was a member of the DPR.
This was conveyed by the Director of the Movement for Change, Muslim Arbi, in response to the many requests from Banyuwangi residents for Sumail Abdullah to return to his hometown and lead Banyuwangi.
“If you look at the request of Banyuwangi residents to Abah Sumail Abdullah, to return to their hometown to lead Banyuwangi, it is natural. It could be that all this time, Sumail Abdullah (was) a member of the DPR from Gerindra who sided with many small people,” said Muslim to journalists in Jakarta, Thursday (28 /3).
So he continued, the hopes of Banyuwangi residents need to be responded to by the Gerindra Party in order to give a regional election ticket to Sumail Abdullah, who has sat in the DPR for two terms.
“All this time he seems to have fought for the people of Indonesia in the DPR. Perhaps, now is the time for Abah Sumail Abdullah to be able to return to his village to rebuild his hometown,” he said.
“Perhaps a coalition with PKB which also has a seat in Banyuwangi could enable Abah Sumail Abdullah to lead Banyuwangi for the next five years,” concluded Muslim. (cuy/jpnn)
