jpnn.comSEMARANG – The Gerindra Party officially supports the CEO of PSIS Semarang, Yoyok Sukawi to run in the 2024 Semarang City regional head election (Pilkada).
The Head of the Semarang City Gerindra Party DPC, Joko Santoso, said that the support for Yoyok Sukawi was based on the direction of the DPP of the Party led by Prabowo Subianto.
In addition, the support is to strengthen the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) in the election of mayor and deputy mayor or Pilwakot Semarang.
“We have instructions to strengthen KIM Plus and there is Mas Yoyok who has a big chance of winning the Semarang mayoral election,” he said, Saturday (24/8).
Joko is still keeping secret the identity of the deputy who will accompany the Democrat Party politician whose full name is Alamsyah Satyanegara Sukawijaya.
The name will be announced after the issuance of the B1 KWK decision letter or proof of Gerindra’s support for Yoyok and his deputy to participate in the Semarang mayoral election in November.
“For the deputy mayor, we are waiting for directions from the DPP and DPD while waiting for the B1 KWK letter to complete the requirements that will be brought to the KPU,” said Joko.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Semarang City Democrat Party DPC, Wahyoe Winarto, said that Gerindra’s joining would strengthen the coalition that supports Yoyok Sukawi in the 2024 Semarang Mayoral Election.
