German energy company VNG asks the State for help

by time news

The German energy company VNG, the country’s third-largest gas importer, said on Friday that it was going to ask the state for help to deal with its losses due to soaring energy prices in the European market.

The requested measures “seek to absorb the significant losses that are currently accumulating as a result of the replacement supply of natural gas and allow commercial activities to continue,” the company said in a statement.

VNG is the second German supplier to ask the State for help, in a context of energy crisis caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
