In Russia, there were problems with the deployment of 5G communication networks – the so-called “golden” 5G frequency range (3.4-3.8 GHz) is used to build fifth-generation networks in other countries of the world, but in Russia it is given over to the needs of law enforcement agencies. In addition, after the start of the special operation, the main suppliers of telecom equipment Nokia and Ericsson left the Russian market. In June, Rostec proposed a new version of the roadmap for the development of 5G networks, in which the focus is not on 5G, but on the previous generation of communications – LTE.
