Are we looking to the future with confidence or with fear? For the majority, the answer is clear when they think about tomorrow and the day after.

More than two out of three people in Germany are concerned about their personal future. 69 percent of men and women answered yes to this question, with women being even more concerned about the future at 74 percent. This was shown by a Forsa survey commissioned by the Federal Association of Consumer Organizations and made available to the German Press Agency in Berlin. 30 percent said they were not concerned about the future.

When asked about various possible topics, health and care provision emerged as the number one concern. 69 percent of consumers are very or extremely worried about this issue. The respondents are also worried about price developments (61 percent) and retirement provision (52 percent). The latter topic is particularly worrying for younger people between the ages of 18 and 29 (68 percent).

The consumer centers commissioned the survey on the occasion of the German Consumer Day this Wednesday in Berlin. Forsa surveyed 1,002 people at the beginning of September; the survey is representative.
