President of the Council of German Districts Reinhard Sager said that the organization’s committee agreed on a position on the call to reduce benefits for refugees coming to Germany from Ukraine. This was reported by Welt, Day.Az reports with reference to Gazeta.ru.

“Refugees… from Ukraine who have recently arrived in Germany should no longer receive immediate benefits, but should receive benefits in accordance with the Asylum Seeker Benefits Act,” Sager said.

The Council of German Districts has been warning for several months about overload due to an increase in the flow of people crossing the border, and also advocates a transition from financial payments to in-kind assistance to visitors, the material notes. In addition, the organization insists on introducing a mandatory employment requirement for refugees, Welt reports.
