Against the background of an increase in the number of infections and the spread of omicron, the head of the green faction in the Bundestag Britta Haßelmann proposes additional restrictions on contacts not only in private, but also in the workspace, including expanding the format of remote work. “The home office in this case is the cornerstone, it should be used more frequently again,” she said in an interview with the Funke Mediengruppe.

All over Germany on January 4, new protests were held against measures to combat covid – tens of thousands of people took to the streets of many cities. Clashes with the police took place in Magdeburg, Rostock and Liechtenstein.
