The German government started its review in September last year. It has been feared that China can use gas turbines in warships. Germany’s Economy Minister Robert Habeck said that his country welcomes foreign investment but technology related to public security should not fall into the hands of countries with which you do not always have good relations. Security reasons were also cited in this. The Chinese Foreign Ministry questioned the German government’s decision and said that it was against the politicization of normal commercial relations.
