Italy described the situation in Gaza as worrying

Meanwhile, Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said, quoted by the Italian news agency ANSA, that “the situation is worrying” and that work is being done to avoid escalation.
“Today I will have a video conference call with the Italian ambassadors in the Middle East. We are in touch with our allies and working to reduce tensions. Israel has the right to defend itself, but there must be no escalation,” he said.
