Russia is waging war on Ukraine for the 19th day today. Russian forces occupying various cities in Ukraine are busy seizing the capital, Kiev. Various countries are trying to stop this war. But, the fight continues.
Meanwhile, tensions are running high in European countries as Russia launches an offensive against Ukraine. There are fears that Russia’s occupation of Ukraine could pose a major security threat to Europe. Thus, various European countries have embarked on a campaign to increase their military strength.
In this case, Germany plans to buy 35 sophisticated F-35 fighter jets from the United States. Germany has stepped in to bolster the country’s military presence as Russia continues to invade Ukraine.
The German government plans to purchase not only fighter jets but also military equipment from the United States. These procurement activities are expected to be tabled in Parliament in the coming budget series.
