On November 3 and 4, German Federal Foreign Minister Annalena Berbok will visit Yerevan and Baku for negotiations.

Turan was informed about this by the German embassy in Azerbaijan.

This is the first visit of the foreign minister to Armenia and Azerbaijan, and the second to the South Caucasus after his visit to Georgia in the spring of 2023.

In Baku, Berbok will meet with his colleague Jeyhun Bayramov, and after that a joint press conference will be held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

“Germany strives for lasting peace, political and economic diversification of the region and close and good relations with the European Union. For this, it is very important to create trust and reconciliation in the region. The goal is a comprehensive peace settlement through negotiations so that Azerbaijanis and Armenians can live in peace and security within their national borders. To this end, we support the quick resumption of trilateral talks mediated by the President of the Council of Europe, Charles Michel, and we support any relationship that contributes to peace and stability for the peoples of the South Caucasus,” the embassy said.
