Germany lacked ‘speed and coordination’, laments Flick

Germany coach Hansi Flick admitted several mistakes in his team’s game on Saturday night against Italy in the Nations League (1-1).

Following the 1-1 draw with Italy in Bologna, Germany coach Hansi Flick came back from a disappointing Nations League scoreline on RTL Germany :

“It’s a game you can’t be completely satisfied with. Our first quarter of an hour was good, but then we lost the rhythm a bit, we didn’t put on enough speed, we made too many mistakes and we weren’t well in place. We expect players to coach each other, but there we lacked coordination, we did not have control. What I remember positively is the character we showed to come back immediately after conceding a goal. We will analyze to correct Tuesday against England what we did not do well this evening.
