Germany: Prescription drugs will rise in price from December 1

Following a whole range of products, gasoline, gas, the price of prescription drugs will also rise. From December 15, more money will have to be paid for the medicines prescribed by the doctor. The good news is that drug price increases will not be as significant.

On December 15, a new law comes into force in Germany, according to which prescription drugs will rise in price by 20 cents.

According to the Federal Union of German Pharmaceutical Associations (ABDA), the proceeds will go to the ABDA night and emergency services funds in need of support.

Whether the increase in prices for medicines also applies to low-income citizens is not reported yet.
