Food Quality Research Foundation Foundation, endowment Warentest tests German food products of everyday consumption by the inhabitants of Germany.

According to statistics, every German drinks about 144 liters of mineral water per year. How quality this product is Stiftung Warentest tested 30 types of bottled mineral water: 24 in plastic bottles and 6 in glass. As a result, it was found that only two types of mineral water were rated “sufficient”. The quality of 17 out of 30 samples is “good”, 11 – “satisfactory”. Four of the top 5 types of mineral water cost only 13 cents per liter.

Test winner – Aqua Culinaris Kurfels Classic by Aldi Süd. The water got a rating of 1.8. No impurities were found in its composition, it has a good microbiological composition and a pleasant taste. The second place with a rating of 1.9 was taken by water from Netto brand Naturalis Vitalbrunnen Classic. In third place was Naturalis Quintus-Quelle Classic, also from Netto. She got a score of 2.0. Bergquelle Classic water proved to be much worse. She received a rating of 3.6 and took fourth place. Dangerous microbes were found in it. Kaufland Water K-Classic Urstromquelle received a rating of 4.0 and the fifth place in the rating.

Stiftung Warentest also tested the chocolate sold to the residents of the country. In chocolate, as in everything else in our life, one thing is important – measure. This sweetness is considered food “for the nerves”, soothing “for the soul” and is sold out with a bang during the Christmas holidays. More often than not, the wrapper hides exactly what the manufacturer promises. As a result of a test carried out by the German Information Institute Stiftung Warentest, every second tile has been awarded a “good” mark. Chocolate has a good characteristic cocoa note, creamy taste and caramel smell. And if the tile is free of air bubbles, has a smooth surface and does not split at the edges, it is 100% tested by Stiftung Warentest.

According to the print publication test, 21 of the 25 chocolate bars tested received a rating of “good” or “very good” in the “Sensory Analysis” item. True, the final grade was slightly worse. Here, only 15 samples were rated “good”.

The winners of the test were: Die gute Schokolade worth 1 euro per 100 g., Marabou Mjölk Cjhoklad (1.12 euro / 100 g), Merci Edel-Rahm (1.30 euro 100 g) and Milka Alpenmilch ( 1.0 euro / 100g). In addition, the experts of Stiftung Warentest gave the rating “satisfactory” on nine occasions.

For a long time, traces of mineral oil have been a problem in the chocolate industry. Now experts have received confirmation that manufacturers have taken control of this issue.
