The German authorities will return free tests for coronavirus, according to the newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung, said the head of the German Ministry of Health Jens Spahn.

“In this situation, we must quickly conduct significantly more tests, for this it was decided that we will reintroduce free tests for citizens, we will finance a nationwide system of test centers. The decree that will make this possible, I will sign today, it will be in effect from tomorrow, ”said Spahn.

The previous free COVID testing in Germany has been in effect since August last year. It was canceled on October 11, 2021.
