If the general fever comes with a sore throat Corona examination The Central Government has instructed the State Governments and the Union Territories to do so.
Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan and Indian Institute of Medical Research (ICMR) President Dr. Balram Bhargava have jointly sent a letter to the Chief Secretaries of State regarding the Omicron test.
In it they list various recommendations.
Their details are as follows:
In the light of past experience, when the number of corona infections multiplies, there is a delay in knowing the results of RT PCR tests. ICMR states and Union Territories allow Rapid Antigen Test (RATs) to be performed, with results being delayed by 5 to 8 hours.
To this end, we recommend states and junior territories to set up Rapid Antigen Test (RATs) booths in public places so that people can be tested. But, there has to be a select medical team.
It may also encourage the use of self-test kits and self-examination equipment in the home. However, only those with symptoms can undergo such an examination. There are 7 types of equipment available in the market for Kovit self-examination. Use them to motivate people. Have clear guidelines for them.
No matter what the Rapid Antigen Test (RATs) or RT PCR test, its results must be uploaded on the ICMR website.
States and Union Territories are advised to test any individual with or without fever, headache, sore throat, cough, shortness of breath, body aches, taste, snoring, diarrhea, etc. Physicians should be advised to keep them in isolation until the test results are available
Thus it is stated.
