A youth who allegedly fell in love with a schoolgirl who had a sister system in Thanjavur has been brutally beaten to death by the student’s aunt’s son. Police are searching for the alleged killer.
Muthukrishnan hails from Vandayar Street in the Valamar Fort area near Thanjavur. His son Anand (age 21). He is an I.T.I. Has read. Anand is said to have fallen in love with a Plus-2 student from the same area. And both houses have condemned the student for being her sister. But it is also said that Anand did not give up his love. Udayakumar (age 25), a student’s cousin from Surakkottai area, has condemned the incident.
Anandai Udayakumar, who was standing in the Valamarkottai Kallanai canal branch canal last night, said, “You should not fall in love with her. Leave her alone, ”Anand was told, and an argument ensued between the two.
Udayakumar, enraged by the argument, brutally strikes Anand in the back of the head, disfiguring his head and face. Anand was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The body was taken to the Tanjore Government Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
Police have registered a case and are looking for Udayakumar who escaped. Police have been mobilized for security as tensions continue to rise in the area.
