GGD Brabant-Zuidoost to Open Additional Pop-Up Locations for Corona Shots
REGION GGD Brabant-Zuidoost announced that they will be opening more pop-up locations in various municipalities in Southeast Brabant starting in November. The aim is to provide residents with an opportunity to get the corona shot close to home. However, appointments must be made in advance through the national appointment line.
“To give as many residents as possible the opportunity to get the corona shot, we are opening a number of pop-up locations throughout our entire work area. We have done this before, and residents appreciate that we also offer the corona shot nearby. Unlike previous years, the corona shot is only available by appointment at these pop-up locations. So you can no longer walk in without an appointment. We have a limited capacity for appointments at the pop-up locations, residents are, of course, also welcome by appointment 5 days a week at our injection locations in Eindhoven and Helmond,” explained Hellen van Poppel, program manager of GGD Brabant-Zuidoost.
The pop-up locations for the corona shot are as follows:
– Bladel – Cultural Center Den Herd (Mondays: November 6, 13, 20, 27, and December 4)
– Veldhoven – Center 70 (Tuesdays: November 7, 14, 21, 28, and December 5)
– Valkenswaard – De Belleman (Wednesdays: November 8, 15, 22, 29, and December 6)
– Someren – De Ruchte (Monday 20 to Thursday 23 November)
– Best – ’t Tejaterke (Fridays: November 17, 24, and December 1, 8)
– Eindhoven – Youth Center De Toeloop (Fridays: November 17, 24, and December 1, 8)
– Deurne – Social Cultural Center Den Draai (appointments can be made from mid-November), Monday 13 to Wednesday 15 December, and Monday 20 to Wednesday 22 December
– Beek en Donk – Meeting center (appointments can be made from mid-November), Monday December 11, 18 and Tuesday December 12, 19
In addition to the pop-up locations, appointments can also be made 5 days a week at the regular locations in Eindhoven and Helmond.
Residents can schedule or reschedule their appointment themselves via planjeprik.nl by logging in with DigiD. For those without a DigiD, they can call the national appointment line on 0800 7070. GGD BZO emphasized that they cannot plan or reschedule appointments on behalf of individuals. Appointments can be made up to 5 weeks in advance for the pop-up locations.
Residents aged 60 and older, adult residents who receive a flu shot, residents with a medically high risk, healthcare workers, and pregnant women are eligible to make an appointment for the corona shot. They can schedule an appointment at the vaccination locations in Eindhoven and Helmond or at one of the pop-up locations. Current opening hours can be found on ggdbzo.nl.
For those wondering if partners can get the corona shot together, if one partner is 60 years or older and has received a letter with an injection appointment, the other partner can go to the same appointment without scheduling an additional appointment. This also applies to the pop-up locations. However, some waiting time may be expected at the location. If the partner has received a letter without an appointment, but is also eligible for the corona shot, both partners can make an appointment on the same day and location to receive the corona shot together.
