Freedom. The beach is known for its unusual semi-submerged rock that evokes the image of a pig, or tunco as the pig is commonly known in the country, from which its name is derived and is located in La Libertad, a few minutes from San Savior.
El Tunco has volcanic sand and is the outlet of the Grande de La Libertad River, known as La Bocana del Tunco.
This beach is one of the best known in the country, due to its excellent waves for surfing, it is visited by many national and foreign tourists who let themselves be absorbed by the waves, practicing surfing.
But, it doesn’t hurt to relax or take a tour of the entire beach, to enjoy its beautiful views.
