The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources has forecast rain for this Friday throughout the national territory, starting at noon in the volcanic mountain range.
According to the forecast, rain is expected in the afternoon in parts of the central and western areas, as well as in the northern strip; and during the night in the rest of the territory. Due to this weather situation, the Environment Ministry asks the population to be alert to flooding.
“On the high probability of urban flooding and flash floods in rivers that drain from mountainous areas, a situation that may temporarily affect mobility and infrastructure. Be very attentive in the districts of Ahuachapán, Francisco Menéndez, Metapán, Sonsonate, Acajutla, Izalco; Zacatecoluca, San Luis Talpa, San Vicente, Usulután, Jiquilisco, San Miguel, Pasaquina, La Unión, the Metropolitan Area of San Salvador and others,” the institution warned on its official X account.
