ARNHEM – Everyone from 12 years old can get the repeat jab against corona from Monday 7 November without an appointment. This was already possible this week at some locations in the Netherlands, from 7 November this will also be possible at all vaccination locations in the Gelderland-Midden region.
“The repeat shot gives the immune system a boost against the coronavirus. The repeat shot ensures that you get less sick. It also reduces the chance of passing on the virus,” according to GGD Gelderland-Midden.
“The repeat shot contributes to slowing down the revival of the virus. In this way, care can be prevented from becoming too busy. And it helps to keep gyms, catering and businesses open.”
No appointment needed anymore
It is no longer necessary to make an appointment for the repeat injection. Residents can go directly to a GGD vaccination location without an appointment for the repeat shot.
The condition is that your last corona vaccination or infection was at least three months ago. And that the basic series of corona vaccinations has been completed. This basic series consists of 2 injections with the vaccine from Pfizer, Moderna or Novavax or of 1 injection with Janssen.
