Doha: Despite winning against Ghana in another crucial Group H match, Uruguay fell behind South Korea in goal average and returned in tears without reaching the pre-quarters.

Uruguay won by two one-sided goals in a match where Ghana missed a penalty like history repeated itself. Georgian de Arascaita scored both goals for Uruguay.
