He pointed out that “heavy rains have been witnessed in the four municipalities (Al-Awinat – Ghat – Tahala – Al-Barakat) since this evening, which led to the accumulation of water inside residential neighborhoods,” noting that “torrents are arriving in the Tassili Mountains located west of the city of Ghat in Al-Fiot, and they are of medium strength so far.”

Issa pointed out that “the water level increased in Tahala this evening after the rain wave, and the road linking Ubari-Ghat also witnessed heavy rains that led to the accumulation of water, and the damage is being assessed,” noting that “there was a power outage in parts of the city as a result of the heavy rainfall.”

He stressed that “the armed forces, the Ghat Security Directorate, the Red Crescent, and the Civil Safety Authority are conducting patrols in the areas and along the valleys in anticipation of any emergency.”
