Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition introduces four PlayStation-themed armor sets on October 1, 2026. Players can unlock outfits inspired by The Last of Us, Helldivers, Astro Bot, and Journey by earning Boss Tokens through Max Threat bounties in Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted mode on PS5.
How to Unlock PlayStation Armor Sets in Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted
To acquire the outfits, players must visit the merchant in Most Wanted mode to purchase the four sets. These tokens are earned by completing Max Threat bounties after finishing all six standard hunts for the first time. The expansion brings crossover gear to the game through specific in-game challenges on PS5.
Defeating all six targets on Max Threat yields 39 Boss Tokens in total. Once players finish the initial six hunts, they can switch to Max Threat difficulty by pressing the triangle button on the Choose Your Bounty screen. Players can also occasionally find tokens in reward chests instead of coins, which helps speed up the process of collecting all four outfits without replaying hunts repeatedly.
Four Iconic PlayStation Franchises and Their In-Game Gear
Each set references a major PlayStation franchise, offering specific visual components for players to equip. These armours span inspirations from Naughty Dog, PlayStation Studios, Team Asobi, and Thatgamecompany, continuing a tradition seen in previous PlayStation exclusives where Horizon Forbidden West featured secret God of War totems and Abby’s Toy Bow from The Last of Us Part II appeared in the Burning Shores DLC. The collaboration unites distinct first-party titles under Sucker Punch Productions’ art direction, giving Atsu’s Onryo armor specialized dyes alongside matching hats, masks, or headpieces.
- The Last of Us: Features the Blooming Yokai Mask and Yokai’s Infection Onryo armor dye, reflecting a collaboration with Naughty Dog that launched alongside The Last of Us Day.
- Helldivers: Delivers the Sweet Liberty Helmet, Peacekeeping Mask, and Champion of Democracy Onryo armor dye under PlayStation Studios.
- Astro Bot: Includes the Loyalty in the Stars hat, Charm of the Stars mask, and Joy of the Stars Onryo armor dye designed by Team Asobi.
- Journey: Brings the Wanderer’s Gaze mask and Wanderer’s Journey Onryo armor dye from Thatgamecompany.
Where Players Can Use the New Outfits Across the Game Ecosystem
Once unlocked, the armor sets function across multiple experiences associated with the title. Unlike other mode-exclusive rewards, these crossover items are not restricted solely to the bounty hunting missions where they are earned.
Players can also equip the Astro Bot, Journey, Helldivers, and The Last of Us gear in Echoes of Sekigahara and Legends without needing to repeat the unlock activities starting October 1, 2026, on PS5.
