Halloween enthusiasts of all ages flocked to the suburbs of New York City to witness some of the most ghoulish Halloween displays. Residents in Brooklyn and New Jersey have gone all out with their decorations, embracing the Halloween spirit with creativity and enthusiasm.

New Yorkers enthusiastically adorned their homes with spooky decorations, fully embracing the Halloween weekend. Kids poured into Brooklyn and New Jersey to take in the scary displays. From skeleton Barbie and Ken lounging in a pink bathtub to zombies and clowns crawling across lawns adorned with tombstones, residents have truly transformed their neighborhoods into Halloween wonderlands.

Local kids were lured by a spine-tingling zombie invasion in Hackensack, New Jersey, where a creative resident transformed their lawn into a scene straight out of a horror movie. A dozen zombies, dressed in tattered human clothing, stood amongst the grass, oozing with blood and emitting menacing roars. A foreboding sign declared “KEEP OUT,” adding to the eerie ambiance.

In another display, two skeletons were playfully propped up in the front yard. One was a blonde donning a striped swimsuit with a raffia-woven holiday bag, while the other sported a sleeveless shirt reading “Ken.” They sat in a bathtub lit by vibrant pink decorative bulbs, accompanied by their best friend skeleton named Allen, who stood waving in his signature button-down shirt. Pink swans glided gracefully and pink roses created a whimsical Halloween scene.

Another homeowner showcased Barbie in a charming pink-and-white vintage plaid dress, complete with heart-shaped sunglasses. She was accompanied by a skeleton wearing an “I am Kenough” shirt and a vibrant pink headband. Brave locals from a New Jersey neighborhood sat on the steps of a brownstone house, seemingly undisturbed by a ghost in tattered white clothes gazing at them from behind.

The Halloween displays weren’t limited to just zombies and skeletons. A towering Batman ghost, nearly two stories high, ominously haunted passersby on the street. Miniature skeleton animals, including snakes, dinosaurs, and dogs, took over the steps of a house in Hoboken, New Jersey, creating a puzzling path for residents trying to access their homes.

Fans of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce also celebrated their romance with Halloween decorations. Two skeletons, one resembling Taylor Swift and the other Travis Kelce, appeared to be in the midst of a proposal surrounded by an LED sign that read “MARRY ME” bathed in a soft pink light.

With elaborate haunted house facades and ghostly figures gracing the sidewalks, Halloween in New York is expected to culminate with the iconic Greenwich Village parade on October 31. More than 50,000 costumed New Yorkers will fill the streets, parading from King Street to 15th Street in Manhattan, reveling in the Halloween festivities.

As Halloween approaches, New Yorkers continue to celebrate the holiday with elaborate decorations and displays. From Brooklyn to New Jersey, residents have truly embraced the spooky spirit, showcasing their creativity and adding an extra touch of fright to their neighborhoods.
