More than 9,000 homes have been cut off by a devastating sandstorm in major northern Chile.
The city of Diego de Almagro, closest to the Atacama Desert in Chile, South America, was devastated by a massive sandstorm.
About 9000 houses have been cut off from the storm and up to 75 houses have been severely damaged in the storm.
The mayor of the region, Mario Rojas, said the Meteorological Department had earlier issued warnings of thunderstorms and heavy sandstorms.
And video footage of this giant giant sandstorm occurring in Chile is going viral on the internet.
Heavy rains in the city of Diego de Almagro in 2015 caused landslides that killed more than 100 people.
