The Ministerial Committee on Publication Permits, chaired by Justice Minister Gideon Sa’ar, has now approved the book of the opposition leader, Binyamin Netanyahu, called: BIBI – My Story, after the inspection of the professionals in the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Defense, and after the examination of the members of the committee.
About two weeks ago, the publishing house “Shibolt” launched the pre-sale of the autobiography of former Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
In the launch video, Netanyahu shares with viewers the reasons why he chose to publish the book now, and the reasons why he wrote it at an unprecedented pace of only 9 months.
“I wrote it quickly due to the corona epidemic,” Netanyahu said and admitted that “I’m supposed to be in a risk group, and I said – I might not be here to complete it, so let’s write quickly. Who knows.”
In addition, Netanyahu said that he used the time he had freed up during his tenure as opposition leader to write the book: “Being the head of the opposition is infinitely easier, and with more free time, than being prime minister. I never wrote any of my books when I was in an executive role. it’s impossible”.
Netanyahu explained that the reason why he wrote the book is his desire to share with readers in Israel and the world his political views and his family history intertwined with the development of Zionism: “I think this can serve as a kind of book that can inspire many readers who want to live a meaningful life.”
