Gigol Per Caso (from Thursday 21 December on Amazon Prime Video)

After Everybody Loves Diamonds and Amazing Fabio De Luigi, another Italian production by Amazon. The series is called Gigol per Accident (nothing to do with the film of the same name by John Turturro) and stars Christian De Sica, Pietro Sermonti, Ambra Angiolini, Frank Matano, Asia Argento, Greg, Sandra Milo and Stefania Sandrelli. The list of guest stars is equally rich, including Gloria Guida, Isabella Ferrari and Virginia Raffaele. The plot: Alfonso discovers that his sick father, with whom he has always had a conflictual relationship, has a past as a gigol. Having trouble with both his wife and his bank account, he decides to follow in his father’s footsteps. The six episodes will be available on Amazon Prime Video from December 21st.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians (from Wednesday 20 December on Disney+)

Percy Jackson is a 12-year-old boy who is bullied at school… Until he discovers that he is the son of a Greek god and has superpowers. Small problem: Zeus, the leader of the gods, is convinced that Percy stole his thunderbolt. To save his life and restore order on Olympus, the boy will have to find the lost lightning with the help of his friends Grover and Annabeth, met at Camp Half-Blood where young demigods and similar are raised. Percy Jackson and the Olympians, from December 20th on Disney+, based on the novel of the same name by Rick Riordan, the first in a series of six books that has sold millions of copies worldwide. Walker Scobell plays the title role, with wrestler Edge also in the cast. Before the series, two films had already been dedicated to the saga.

Project Lazarus 2 (from Monday 18 December on Sky and Now)

George is part of Project Lazarus, a team of special agents capable of rewinding time and preventing the end of the world. When the woman he loves dies, and her colleagues refuse to reset time to save her, George decides not to obey her orders, seriously endangering the survival of the planet. So far the first season of Progetto Lazarus: in the second, from 18 December on Sky Atlantic and Now, George has fallen into disgrace but is determined to regain the trust of his colleagues to save the planet. The cast of the British series includes Paapa Essiedu (Gangs of London), Anjli Mohindra and Tom Burke (Strike).

Found (from Thursday 21 December on Top Crime)

When someone goes missing, you have to turn to Gabi Mosely: the big boss of Mosely and Associates will do everything to find the missing person, including manipulating the media and breaking the law. Found the new American series from NBC which will also arrive in Italy on December 21st on Top Crime. In the title role is Shanola Hampton from Shameless, also starring Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zack Morris from Bayside School) as Gabi’s kidnapper, who has been locked in her basement for years. Found was written by Nkechi Okoro Carroll (All American), executive produced by Greg Berlanti (Arrow, The Flash, You).

The Creature from Gyeongseong (from Friday 22 December on Netflix)

Tae-sang Jang is the most attractive man in Gyeongseong, as Seoul was called in colonial times. He has great intuition, gets along very well in society, and is able to react quickly even in the most unexpected situations. Chaeo-ok Yoon, on the other hand, is an investigator specialized in finding missing people. After a difficult childhood she learned to survive by handling piston and knives, or by getting by with her bare hands. When in 1945 she decides to track down her mother, who passed away ten years before her, Chaeo-ok Yoon goes to Gyeongseong. Here she will be involved with Tae-sang Jang in a series of mysterious events, which will force them to fight to save themselves. The Creature from Gyeongseong a new South Korean series arriving on Netflix on December 22nd.

What If…? 2 (from Friday 22 December on Disney+)

A new chapter is added to the Marvel superhero saga. What if…? an animated series set after the events of Loki, when the multiverse goes crazy and shows universes in which the events of the Marvel Cinematic Universe take place differently (hence the title “What if…”, literally “What if…”). Series creator AC Bradley. In the original version the characters are voiced by the same actors who play them in the films: from Tom Hiddleson to Josh Brolin, from Michael Douglas to Jeff Goldblum, from Natalie Portman to Samuel L. Jackson. Season two will land on Disney+ on Friday, December 22.
