Gihanga: Communal festival 2023 and ambitious projects shared during a relaxed day

Bujumbura ( Bubanza, Gihanga commune ), 08/05/2023 – In an approach aligned with the internal policy of decentralization of the Barundi, the Gihanga commune celebrated its communal festival 2023 in the presence of eminent personalities. Among them were Ms. Ndacayisaba Leocadie, Burundian Minister of Communication, Hon. Suguru Olivier, elected MP for Bubanza, and Mr. Ndayikeje Évrard, Director General of the National Agency for the Promotion and Regulation of Cooperative Societies (ANACCOP) in Burundias well as other dignitaries.

During the day on Saturday, M. Ndayisaba Léopold, municipal administrator of Gihanga, joined the inhabitants of his locality to celebrate the 2023 communal festival. The relaxed atmosphere was nourished by exchanges and traditional meals shared with the population. Among the topics of discussion were the major projects underway, including the electrification of the two remaining villages and the ambition to increase agricultural production to transform Gihanga into the national breadbasket.
