How was the season at Wiliete?

Speaking of the sports season, it was one of the worst seasons since I’ve been in football due to an injury at the beginning of the season. On the second round I tried to recover, played a few games and an illness took me away from the team again. It was a difficult time and I can say forget it. On a collective level, it was a good season with the team breaking a record with the fourth position, due to the hard work of the technical team and my former colleagues. I had to overcome a lot of difficulties and I didn’t get what I most wanted to play more assiduously and help my former teammates in another way.

How are you proposing for the next season?

Everything is open for next season about the club I will represent.

Where do you still want to go in football?

I would like to play at the highest level. Perhaps in Europe at the big championships and as long as there is health, that is my wish.

Do you consider that there is evolution in the Angolan championship?

In my point of view there is a certain growth and development of our football. Evolution of teams and players . We have cases of teams with good campaigns in other competitions and valuing and enhancing Angolan talents who are playing abroad. They are transferring to Europe and elsewhere and we have a possible creation of a league that I think will benefit our league.

Do you feel good playing as an attacking midfielder?

I feel good playing more offensively but as a professional I have to be prepared to play in other positions to help the club I represent.

You’ve already been called up to the national team but you weren’t used, what do you need to be called up more often?

What has been lacking in going to the Angolan national team more often is the opportunity. I’m here and always prepared to represent my national team. Whenever the coach thinks I’m an asset.

Born in the province of Huambo, Gildo Seteco started street football in the academic district, and professionally went through Petro do Huambo, his training school, Recreativo da Caála, Futebol Clube Bravos do Maquis and Wiliete de Benguela.
