Giletti was heard again today as a person informed about the facts by the Florence prosecutor’s office in the context of the investigation underway into the alleged instigators of the 1993 mafia massacres. It is the third time that the magistrates have heard the conductor: the previous ones were on 19 December 2022 and last March 27th. In particular, the journalist was heard by the prosecutor of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate, Luca Tescaroli (the same one who carried out Mafia Capitale) and by the Dia investigators directed by Francesco Nannucci. In recent weeks, the Florentine Dda had listened to Salvatore Baiardo in Palermo, the trusted man of the Graviano brothers, hosted by Giletti in his program.
“As you can see -Giletti says in the video- I just got out of the Florence prosecutor’s office and this makes you understand the complex, difficult and delicate situation we are experiencing. Shortly after, Mentana intervenes on Instagram. “Massimo Giletti has just sent me a short video message as I leave the Florence prosecutor’s office. It is obvious that in the face of the arguments that you can hear, one can only accept Giletti’s request to postpone next Sunday’s broadcast”, says the director of the La7 news. “In the conversation immediately following the sending of the video, it was agreed to try again as soon as the further investigations that have opened will allow for adequate television testimony for the purpose of the broadcast”.
