Giorgos Manakas returns to Ioannina, with the administration of Vikos Falcons announcing its cooperation with the forward/center for the new season 2023-2024.


George Manakas was born in 1997, comes from Komotini and has a height of 2.06. He started basketball at AE Komotini, where he played in all divisions up to the men’s team in 2013. In 2014, he moved to GAS Komotini, in the 2nd National League, while a year later he played for Agia Varvara Kavala in the 3rd National League.
Then he continued in the Kavala Union (A2 National), while the following year he won the championship of the 3rd National with the team of Eleftheroupoli. In 2018, he competed in Oiakas Nafplio, in the Second National League, where he celebrated the championship and promotion to A2.
Giorgos Manakas is an old acquaintance of ours, as in the 2019-20 season he competed with the colors of Vikos PAS Giannina. He continued his career in Chania (2nd National League) and Lefkippos Xanthi (2nd National League). In the 2022-23 season he played in Doxa Lefkada, also in the 2nd National Division championship, where, through the play offs process, he celebrated another promotion to the A2 division and last year he played in the NEO Lixouri team.
