Girona clings to the golden game in La Liga – beat Strand Larsen’s Celta Vigo

Sport: The decision fell after 20 minutes when the Spaniard Portu scored the only goal of the match with his right foot.

The win takes Girona to the top of the La Liga table, one point ahead of Real Madrid. The latter have one game to their credit against the surprise team from northern Catalonia.

Jørgen Strand Larsen played the entire match for Celta.

Next Saturday, Girona will face Real Sociedad on their own turf. So far in the season, like gold rival Real Madrid, there has only been one loss, and the Catalans are top scorers with a whopping 52 goals.

Real Madrid host Getafe next Thursday.
