Gitex Africa: Digital development at the center of Moroccan-American discussions

Marrakech – Digital development was the focus of a meeting on Friday in Marrakech between the Director General of the Digital Development Agency (ADD), Mohammed Drissi Melyani, and the Consul General of the United States in Casablanca, Marissa D. Scott.

Held on the sidelines of Gitex Africa, discussions between Mr. Melyani and Ms. Scott focused on exploring potential opportunities for collaboration in the field of digital development, particularly the promotion of ecosystems, investment in the digital economy and ensuring social inclusion.

Placed under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Gitex Africa 2024 sees the participation of more than 1,500 exhibitors, representing more than 130 countries, and aims to be a hub promoting exchanges on the latest technological developments.

Initiated by Kaoun International, the international subsidiary of the Dubai World Trade Centre, and supported by the ADD, under the supervision of the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, this Fair, the largest in Tech and start-ups in Africa, is attended by world-renowned experts and specialists as well as political decision-makers.
