On “I’m a Celebrity – The Showdown of the Jungle Legends,” Thorsten Legat clashed with Hanka Rackwitz. Giulia Siegel condemns his behavior.
Unlike in the original show, in the summer jungle camp it is not the viewers who decide who should face the next test: In this season, either the fellow campers or the production team have the say on who will compete in a challenge for stars and thus food rations. For former soccer star Thorsten Legat, it is a matter of course to volunteer for a test at any time. Fellow camper Hanka Rackwitz, however, sees things differently – and gets a lecture from the former professional athlete.
On “I’m a Celebrity – The Legendary Hour After,” Thorsten Legat explains why his fellow contestant’s hesitation makes him angry. “If you want to distinguish yourself in the 18 days that we’re here, then you should take your heart in your hand and say: You know what, even if I’m not feeling well today, it’s my turn at some point,” is his point of view. Statements that bother jungle camp candidate Giulia Siegel. She makes serious accusations against Thorsten Legat.
According to Giulia Siegel, Thorsten Legat displayed unacceptable behavior in the summer jungle camp. “Legat, hit us, put pressure on us, put us under pressure! Because for him the jungle is a shitty sports show with tests, the jungle, the legends,” she reports in her Instagram story. In her opinion, the reality star has completely forgotten that his fellow campers are also people. “You put pressure on many of us, you bullied us, you treated us badly,” she attacks him.
But Giulia Siegel is not only upset about Thorsten Legat’s camp behavior. She is also annoyed by his claim that she contacted him before filming to make secret arrangements: “Honest person? How much can a man lie? And I defended him when Helena Fürst portrayed him as a wife beater. Shame on you! How dirty are you? That is slander,” said the 49-year-old.
On August 15, “I’m a Celebrity – The Showdown of the Jungle Legends” started on RTL+. On linear television, the special broadcast to mark the show’s 20th anniversary only started a day later. The jungle camp will be hosted as usual by Sonja Zietlow and Jan Köppen. However, “I’m a Celebrity – The Showdown of the Jungle Legends” will not take place in Australia this year, but in South Africa. The show was also recorded. Filming took place several weeks ago.
